At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.SummaryCHS is looking for a Hazmat Driver to join our team in Des Moines! This individual will be hauling fuel to local customers in the area, and drivers are home each night for supper. We are looking to fill either a Sun- Thurs or Tues- Saturday shift at the site. This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional $1500 after 1 year in the role. ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditionsAssist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.Minimum Qualifications (required)Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement2+ years of CDL Driving experienceMust meet minimum age requirementAbility to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signalsAdditional QualificationsTanker and Air Brake endorsementsMust meet DOT and Company requirementsAbility to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demandsBulk liquid experience preferredPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
