Job Description Job Opportunity: Licensed Physical Therapist AssistantOur organization is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to become a vital part of our specialized hand and physical therapy practice in the Jackson community. In this position, you will collaborate closely with seasoned therapists to provide exceptional, patient-focused care aimed at enhancing functionality, alleviating pain, and improving the overall quality of life for individuals in need of hand therapy and general physical rehabilitation.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists.Deliver hands-on interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various therapeutic modalities.Guide patients through prescribed exercises and assist with mobilization and functional training.Monitor patient responses to treatment and document objective measures, progress notes, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment objectives, and home exercise programs to facilitate ongoing progress.Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized environment.Apply modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as directed.Measure range of motion, strength, edema, and functional abilities.Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, while maintaining HIPAA and confidentiality standards.Requirements and QualificationsCurrent licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Working ConditionsThis role is hands-on and requires on-site presence, as you will be directly involved with patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
