Automation Equipment Project Manager (USPS)

ECS is seeking an Automation Equipment Operations Project Manager to work remotely out of the Postal Merrifield HQ.ECS is looking for a candidate to provide business and technical support services to Automation Equipment (under TAPM). The individual is required to have extensive Postal equipment and maintenance background with the ability to coordinate activities amongst stakeholders on-site.General Requirements:Coordinate and oversee daily site activities and ensure accountability across all personnelServe as the primary on-site project managerDirect and oversee cross-functional teams, assign priorities and ensure work is executed according to scope, schedule, and operational standardsProvide hands-on support and technical guidance during equipment installations and removalsMonitor progress against project plans and update tracking tools to reflect accurate statusCommunicate timely status updates, risks, and mitigation plans to program managersIdentify, escalate, and resolve program related issuesProvide structed status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to the USPS Program ManagerAdvise on maintenance timelines, resource requirements, and equipment readinessPrepare site visit summaries, progress reports, and presentationsDevelop, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentationThe contractors shall perform all necessary administrative services to enable the satisfactory and timely completion of all tasksProvide specific task deliverables on time in conformance with contract specifications and generally accepted business practicesDeliverables:Accurate and timely project schedule updates and task listsSite status reports and risk/issues logsTechnical assessments of equipment condition and operational readinessPrepare program presentations and summary reportsCreate and update SOPs and documented process improvementsSalary Range: $120,000 - $150,000General Description of BenefitsThis position requires up to 100% travel. Candidate must be willing and able to travel as required to support multiple locations nationwide. Extended stays at project sites will be required based on program needs.Must have technical knowledge of postal mail processing and support systemsStrong understanding of industrial automation systems and material handling equipmentExerience coordinating multiple tasks and personnel in a structed project environmentAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentationStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write at the level of complexity appropriate to the audience.Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional teamsProficiency in Microsoft Teams and OutlookObtain a sensitive USPS security clearance for all personnel assigned to the contractExperience maintaining postal mail processing equipment
