Quality Engineer/Service Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Service EngineerLocation: Columbus, INDuration: 11 Months on W2Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated Technical Liaison to act as a vital link between our field test fleet and the Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the fleet remains operational by effectively managing and resolving any issues that arise.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the main point of contact between field service personnel and engineering teams to identify, define, and prioritize product issues related to Midrange engines.Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely resolution of product problems.Conduct failure analyses on engine components, assisting field service warranty claims and supporting engineering in defining problems.Collaborate with customers and distributors to investigate issues, propose solutions, and provide training as needed.Support product development and problem-solving teams by overseeing the installation of field test engines/components and monitoring reliability data.Participate in Design Reviews to provide serviceability insights for new components and products.Assist in the creation and revision of service literature, including O&M Manuals and Shop Manuals for Midrange engines.Facilitate the Dealer Technical Escalation process by delivering timely and accurate information on product issues. Experience:2-4 years of relevant experience in project management or a technical role.Skills:Strong project management and conflict resolution capabilities.Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.Technical background in engineering or internal combustion engines is a plus.Familiarity with engineering analysis tools, statistical methods, and project management software.Basic understanding of Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification is a plus).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data analysis tools.Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including engineering, field service, and customers.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related fieldNote:- This position will be 100% onsite. Hours are 8-5, M-F.
