*Basic Job Functions:*
* Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly
* Control and adjust equipment settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner
* Assemble fabricated parts, components, or other units
* Align materials and assemble parts to build units
* Handle fiberglass/insulation
* Work with various chemicals including adhesives and hardeners
* Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, grind, and fasten materials
* Use simple measurement instruments such as tape measures and scales to verify correct product build specifications
* Maintain a clean and organized work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
* General housekeeping duties (sweeping, emptying trash, etc.)
* Support other departments when work is slow in assembly
* Occasionally driving forklift
* Performs related duties as assigned by supervision
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Basic math skills
* Read and understand blueprints
* Use hand and /or power tools
* Basic reading and writing skills
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
* High school diploma and or equivalent and /or related experience
* Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
* Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing
* Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.99 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 58 per week
