Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a transformational executive to lead its Air & Space Force Solutions Business Area within the Intelligence & Security Sector. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for shaping strategy, driving operational excellence, and accelerating growth across a critical portfolio supporting Air and Space Force missions.As a member of the I&S Leadership Team, the Vice President/General Manager will lead a complex and expanding business with full P&L accountability and direct influence over strategic direction, customer engagement, talent development, and long-term market positioning.Reporting to the President of the Intelligence & Security Sector, this leader will play a central role in advancing BAE Systems’ position as a premier mission partner to the U.S. defense and intelligence community.Key ResponsibilitiesSet the strategic direction and growth agenda for the Air & Space Force Solutions portfolioLead all aspects of business performance, including financial, operational, and program execution outcomesExpand market presence through organic growth, strategic customer engagement, and new business captureBuild and maintain trusted executive-level relationships across Air Force, Space Force, and DoD stakeholdersAllocate investments and resources to maximize competitiveness and long-term portfolio valueDevelop and inspire high-performing teams while building future leadership capabilityDrive a culture of accountability, operational rigor, innovation, and inclusionServe as a senior external ambassador for BAE Systems across customer, industry, and stakeholder communitiesRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred15+ years of executive leadership experience in defense, aerospace, government contracting, or related mission-focused industriesDemonstrated success managing a portfolio or business unit of approximately $500M+ in revenueProven track record leading growth and operational execution in DoD, IT, defense services, or mission solutions environmentsDeep understanding of Air Force and Space Force organizations, missions, acquisition priorities, and customer landscapeEstablished senior-level relationships across Air Force, Space Force, and DoD stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to shape and execute strategic growth initiatives and capture new businessStrong executive presence with exceptional communication and influencing skillsExperience leading large, geographically dispersed organizationsActive Top Secret clearance required; ability to obtain SCI eligibilityAbout BAE Systems Intelligence & SecurityBAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
