The General Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of several studios. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to team development and studio success. The ideal candidate would be a proactive problem solver with a fitness-management background. We are looking for a growth-oriented individual looking for the opportunity to scale with a growing business. The GM will also be responsible for in-studio presence, which includes teaching classes that will be paid at a per-piece rate.
Major Roles:
Lead and manage pod team across 2-4 studios: AGM(s), Lead Instructors, Client Relations, and Instructors
Execute Sales Strategy to Drive Revenue
Drive top-line revenue: Set and execute monthly sales targets for each location
Audit the funnel: track Leads ? Intros ? Memberships to identify & resolve drop‑off
Collaborate with marketing to ensure lead flow meets growth targets
Execute and track localized strategies (promos, events) to hit budget goals
Operational Excellence
Brand Consistency: Conduct bi‑weekly facility audits to ensure cleanliness and brand standards
Schedule consistency and reliability: ensure full coverage while maximizing profitability
Enforce company policies consistently to mitigate risk
Client Experience & Product Quality
Regular presence in studios to set the instruction standard and connect with members
Quality Control: Evaluate instructor performance through class attendance
Retention: Monitor churn rates and lead "save" strategies for at‑risk members
Handle high‑level member escalations
Requirements
1+ Years of fitness (or related) management experience
Fitness teaching experience preferred
Proficient in fitness software and analytics
Passion for fitness, with a knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Studio‑based presence at managed locations

Fitness Industry Knowledge: A passion for fitness and a solid understanding of industry trends and best practices are important. This includes experience in fitness management and teaching, which helps in making informed decisions.
Financial Acumen: The ability to manage budgets, track studio finances, and report on financial performance is key. This includes understanding revenue streams, client churn, and sales strategies.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Building meaningful connections with clients and staff is vital. This involves excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a sense of community within the studio.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Being open to flexible on‑site work arrangements and adapting to the dynamic nature of a growing business is important for success in this role.
Salary & Benefits
Base Salary: $72-75K plus a bonus
Class Compensation: $45/set piece rate
Revenue Share Bonus: Eligible for monthly bonuses based on studio revenue. Typical annual payouts range from $8,000 to $10,000 per year, with the potential to exceed these figures based on growth.
