The Digital Lead (Surveyor) will support and lead all survey, layout, and field verification activities across OSC jobsites. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate control networks, validating layout conditions prior to construction activities, and ensuring alignment between field conditions and VDC models.The Digital Lead (Surveyor) will act as the primary liaison between Field Operations, VDC, and subcontractors, ensuring all survey-related data and layout activities are precise, validated, and actionable to minimize rework and risk.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesField Surveying & Layout ExecutionResponsible for establishing and maintaining site control points for internal project use across all assigned jobsitesResponsible for the coordination between survey crews and field operations, ensuring accurate communication and implementation of all control pointsPerform form board surveys to document layout conditions and validate geometry prior to concrete placementVerify plumbing, electrical, and penetrations (stub ups) prior to slab pours to ensure alignment with plans (Plumbing/Electrical Surveys)Coordinate directly with field teams/subcontractors onsite to correct layout discrepancies in real timeResponsible for documenting field conditions and communicating findings to Field Teams and VDCDusty & Construction Technology IntegrationSet and maintain control points at grid line intersections to support Dusty layout workflowsCoordinate with field teams to ensure layout technology is deployed accurately and effectivelyHorizontal & Vertical Control ManagementEstablish, review, and maintain primary and secondary control networks, including control placement and stabilityPerform QA on daily total station setups, including backsight verification and check shotsMaintain a control register including point data, updates, and change historyVerify elevations and critical benchmarks if neededQuality Assurance & Error DetectionIdentify and resolve layout discrepancies including:Coordinate mismatches (grid vs ground, unit inconsistencies)Improper control or benchmark usageEnsure all survey data used in the field is accurate, validated, and aligned with project requirementsVDC & Model CoordinationServe as the liaison between field teams and VDC to ensure alignment between models and real-world conditionsValidate survey and layout data in conjunction with VDC, against CAD/BIM models (Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.)Coordinate with VDC to ensure the latest drawings and models are being used for layoutSupport model-to-field verification workflows to confirm accuracy and reduce reworkCommunication & Field CoordinationAct as the primary surveying point of contact for field teams and subcontractorsCommunicate layout issues clearly and proactively to prevent downstream impactsCollaborate with superintendents and trades to plan and execute survey-related activitiesDocument all recorded information as overlays in Procore Observations. Education, Work Experience, & Physical RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. 3–5 years of hands-on construction surveying experience preferred. Experience performing form board surveys, staking/layout work, and field verification activities. Ability to independently perform standard surveying tasks with minimal supervision. Experience identifying discrepancies in field conditions, plans, or layouts and communicating required corrections to field teams and subcontractors. Working knowledge of construction plans, site layouts, grading, utilities, and building control points. Strong understanding of surveying principles and field measurement techniques. Experience using surveying equipment and technology, including GPS, robotic total stations, laser levels, or similar tools. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, and project teams. Surveying certifications, technical training, or related coursework are a plus but not required. General Base Pay RangePlease note that the posted annual base pay range reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity with existing associates, and the Company’s budget at the time of the offer. This range applies to base salary only. Additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive plans, may be available and will be discussed with the Recruiter during the interview process.Annual Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000
