Vice President of Field Operations – Hyperscale Data Center ConstructionTexas | National General Contractor | Executive Leadership OpportunityA nationally recognized ENR-ranked General Contractor is actively seeking a Vice President of Field Operations to lead the execution of a flagship hyperscale data center construction program in Texas. This is a critical executive leadership position for a proven construction operations leader with extensive field leadership experience delivering large-scale mission-critical and commercial construction projects exceeding $500M in value. The ideal candidate will have successfully led multiple hyperscale data center builds from greenfield site development through commissioning and final turnover.Position OverviewThe Vice President of Field Operations will oversee all field execution activities across a major hyperscale campus development, ensuring operational excellence, safety, quality, manpower strategy, scheduling, and client delivery performance.This individual will work closely with executive leadership, project executives, superintendents, and client stakeholders to drive large-scale mission-critical construction operations in one of the fastest-growing sectors in the industry.Key Responsibilities• Provide executive oversight of all field operations across hyperscale data center construction projects.• Lead and manage large teams of senior superintendents, field managers, construction managers, and subcontractor leadership.• Drive execution strategy for complex mission-critical projects with aggressive schedules and high-performance delivery expectations.• Oversee all aspects of field productivity, logistics, sequencing, manpower planning, scheduling, safety, and quality assurance.• Ensure successful coordination between operations, preconstruction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams.• Implement operational best practices across large-scale campus developments and mission-critical environments.• Maintain strong relationships with hyperscale clients, trade partners, and executive stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.• Support recruitment, mentorship, and development of field leadership teams across the business.• Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company operational standards.Required Experience• 20+ years of field operations and construction leadership experience within large-scale commercial or mission-critical construction.• Proven tenure with a nationally recognized top-tier General Contractor.• Must have successfully completed multiple hyperscale data center projects from ground-up construction through final commissioning and turnover.• Extensive experience leading mega-projects valued at $500M+ in construction value.• Deep understanding of mission-critical construction sequencing, MEP coordination, commissioning, scheduling, and operational execution.• Strong leadership experience managing large field teams across complex, fast-track construction environments.• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.Compensation & Benefits• Highly competitive executive compensation package• Base salary commensurate with experience• Performance-based bonus structure• Comprehensive travel package available• Relocation assistance available• Vehicle allowance or company vehicle• Full healthcare and executive benefits package• Long-term growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding mission-critical construction divisionLocationPrimary project location is Texas, with travel packages available for candidates located nationwide.This is a unique opportunity to join one of the nation’s leading builders at the forefront of hyperscale and AI-driven data center development.
