Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the bakery team to ensure efficient food production, baking, pastry decoration, and food preparation processes.
Oversee cake decorating projects, ensuring designs meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Manage packaging of baked goods and food items to maintain freshness, presentation, and safety during storage and delivery.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, handling procedures, and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and timely restocking of baking supplies.
Ensure consistent quality control by monitoring baking times, ingredient measurements, and presentation standards.
Support the development of new recipes, menu items, and catering offerings to enhance customer satisfaction.
Train staff on culinary techniques such as food handling, and proper food production methods.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers about products and addressing any inquiries or special requests.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that complies with health regulations and safety guidelines.
Experience
Proven pastry experience with strong cake decorating skills and a passion for creative presentation.
Extensive kitchen experience in food production, preparation, baking, or catering within the food industry or restaurant settings.
Demonstrated culinary expertise including cooking techniques and food handling safety.
Previous leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced culinary environment is highly preferred.
Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or local health regulations.
Experience in packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution is a plus.
