Project Manager – HEOR Operations & AI EnablementLocation: Indianapolis, IN (hybrid)Duration: 8 month rolling contractOverview:Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a highly adaptable and technically savvy Project Manager to support operational transformation initiatives within their HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research) organization.This role will partner across multiple business functions to drive workflow optimization, automation initiatives, reporting enhancements, and operational process improvements in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals with exceptional communication skills, business systems aptitude, and hands-on experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and workflow automation technologies.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can quickly shift priorities, and enjoys bridging the gap between business operations and technology-enabled solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage cross-functional operational projects supporting HEOR and adjacent business functionsCoordinate multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining alignment on timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependenciesSupport workflow optimization and process automation initiatives across business operationsPartner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, automation, and reporting enhancementsUtilize AI-enabled tools and Microsoft Power Platform technologies to streamline workflows and improve team productivitySupport projects related to Salesforce ecosystem enhancements, integrations, reporting, and operational processesBuild and maintain project plans, dashboards, portfolio trackers, and executive status updatesDevelop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, quick reference guides, and communication materialsAssist with metrics tracking, reporting, and business insights to support organizational decision-makingCollaborate with technical and business teams to implement scalable process improvements and automation solutionsProactively identify risks, remove barriers, and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environmentCommunicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersDrive operational excellence through strong organization, critical thinking, and continuous improvementRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required3+ years of experience in project management, program management, operations, or process improvementExperience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environmentStrong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologiesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft platforms including: Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps preferred), SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SmartsheetExperience supporting workflow automation and operational process improvement initiativesExposure to AI-enabled productivity tools and ecosystems such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or related technologiesExperience supporting reporting, dashboards, metrics, and operational trackingStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities simultaneouslyExceptional verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction in ambiguous environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industry experienceExperience supporting Salesforce-related projects, operations, or integrationsExperience with workflow automation, low-code/no-code solutions, or AI-enabled business processesFinancial project management, budget tracking, or operational finance support experienceExperience supporting operational transformation or digital enablement initiativesFamiliarity with process documentation, change management, and stakeholder enablementIdeal Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate is a highly proactive and adaptable project manager who combines operational excellence with strong technical curiosity.
