This is an associate to hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO.CNC Setter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set up CNC lathes and CNC mills from start, including program reading, tooling selection, installation, and calibrationEstablish work shift datums and proof programs step by step to ensure safe and accurate tool pathsRead and interpret engineering prints to ensure precise machine setupWork with three-axis mills, c-axis live tooling lathes, and y-axis live tooling lathesOperate CNC machines efficiently when not performing setup tasksUtilize measuring tools such as micrometers and dial bore gauges for precision checksWork with metric-based systems, as all company machines operate in metricEnsure compliance with safety and quality standards in all machining operationsCNC Setter Requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience with Fanuc OT, OM, OI controllers, Okuma OSP, and Mitsubishi controlsStrong experience in CNC setup and operation, including troubleshooting and adjustmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsProficiency in using precision measuring equipmentWillingness to contribute to production operations when setting tasks are not availableAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsStand and walk for extended periods during the shiftPerform repetitive motions, including bending, twisting, and reachingGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to work in a noisy environment with ear protectionMust know basic measurement with caliper and/or micrometerQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
