This position requires excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and productsOperate forklift and/or spot for forklift driverUtilize handheld and power tools such as screwdrivers and hand-drillsWork with Quality department to ensure the product meets quality standardsKeep the work area safe, neat, and cleanPerform 5S activities and maintain equipmentPerform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring there are no deviations to standard work instructions that could lead to quality, productivity or safety problemsIdentify and communicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team's performance and the elimination of wasteParticipate in process improvement activitiesSupport other assembly teams when requiredDisplay professional conduct with customers and coworkersAttend training sessions as needed or requiredTools and EquipmentVarious hand toolsCranesForkliftsPower toolsHydraulic equipmentAir toolsVacuum pumpsLaddersBattery powered lifting equipmentScissor liftEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and manual dexterityAbility to read tape measuresAbility to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawingsBasic computer skills requiredBasic knowledge of hand tools and power toolsGood communication and teamwork skillsBasic math skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to, standing for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds, required to walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and arms, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must also be able to see in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
