Athletic Trainer

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Anderson Clinic is currently seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to work with busy Primary Care Sports Medicine physician. Experience preferred, especially with casting, bracing, drawing injections, prepping for ultrasound, etc. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Must have own transportation and may be required to rotate between five different offices in Northern Virginia. Vast majority of time will be spent interacting with patients and physician.Primary Functions & AccountabilitiesInitial patient assessment and evaluation, including vitals and detailed patient historyPresentation of findings to physicianScheduling additional test, procedures or appointmentsPatient education including pre- and post-procedure instructionsBrace fitting, casting and splintingKnowledge & SkillsExcellent customer service skills and patient-centered care focusAbility to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Respond to patient needs and concerns based on the diagnosis and treatment plan provided.Provide and explain patient education materials and other documentation in a manner that is understandable to the patient.Demonstrate the ability to safely apply and remove casts and splints for upper and lower extremities.RequirementsBachelor's degreeCurrent certificationValid Virginia state licensure, or eligible
