Assistant Plant Manager

Responsibilities:Lead, train, and manage all scheduling, production, maintenance, shipping, and receiving teams across the facility.Drive employee retention and development through effective coaching, performance management, and skill?building.Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance production processes, efficiency, and workflow.Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and operates at optimal performance levels.Uphold consistent execution of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the plant.Maintain and enforce all safety, quality, and compliance standards, including ISO 9001:2015 requirements.Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for plant?related purchases and manage associated costs.Oversee production scheduling to meet customer deadlines while maximizing operational efficiency.Achieve and exceed production targets related to volume, quality, and on time delivery.Accurately generate quotes for new production jobs, ensuring proper cost evaluation and feasibility.Manage loading schedules to ensure timely and accurate outbound shipments.Collaborate effectively with Inside Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping teams to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.Required Qualifications/Experience:Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Steel Service Center or Metal Industry is preferredMinimum of 3 years in a supervisory role is preferredStrong communication skills, both written and verbal requiredStrong customer focusComputer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Benefits:401(K)Health insurance401(K) matchingPaid Time OffVision insuranceDental insuranceRelocation assistanceDirect HireSalary: $90KAjulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
