The Charge Nurse utilizes the nursing process and continuous quality improvement principles while collaborating with the healthcare team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for supervising all department staff, assigning duties, and ensuring work meets standards for accuracy, organization, and policy compliance, overseeing the department's daily operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, providing backup support to the Emergency Department (ED) as needed, and ensuring the highest level of patient care is maintained at all times. Education: Current Registered Nurse License in California Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Experience: A minimum of three (3) years nursing experience. One (1) year of leadership experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess typing skills and general computer experience. Possess skills in time management and organization. Must have great interpersonal skills.
