Charleston, SCMarch 25th, 2026
Job Description SummaryJob Description SummaryMain 6E Transplant is a dynamic 22-bed adult inpatient unit dedicated to caring for fresh post-operative solid organ abdominal transplant patients. Our nurses play a vital role in supporting kidney, liver, and kidney/pancreas transplant recipients through every stage of their journey, from pre-transplant preparation to post-transplant recovery. Work in both Intermediate/Stepdown and Acute Care settings, allowing you to broaden and strengthen your clinical skills. Intermediate Care nurses manage highly specialized patients with arterial lines and advanced drips. We invest in your success. All nurses become ACLS certified and trained in peritoneal dialysis within the first six months, building a strong clinical foundation that opens doors across the organization. While transplant is our core specialty, MH6E cares for a wide range of acute care patients, giving nurses continuous opportunities to learn and refine their practice. If you're looking for a fast-paced, team-focused environment where you can grow your expertise, expand your scope, and make a life-changing impact on patients and families, Main 6E Transplant is the place for you.EntityMedical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)Worker TypeEmployeeWorker Sub-TypeRegularCost CenterCC000727 CHS - Transplant Intermediate Care Unit 6E (Main)Pay Rate TypeHourlyPay GradeHealth-28Scheduled Weekly Hours36Work ShiftJob DescriptionHours Per Week: 36Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3-12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays.Up to $10k sign-on bonus for full-time position with a 2-year service agreement for external candidates who have a minimum of 2-years of acute care experience.Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
