Warehouse Associate/ Order Puller - Bilingual Location: Houston, Tx 77060Shift: M-F; 8am - 5pmPay rate: $15-$16 DOEPosition OverviewAs a Shop Helper you are the backbone of our daily operations. This roleis perfect for a hardworking individual looking to break into the metal fabrication and plate processing industry. You will support our skilled operators, maintain a safe workspace, and ensure that materials move efficiently through the production cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling: Assist in loading and unloading heavy steel plates using overhead cranes, forklifts, or magnets.Production Support: Assist CNC Burners, Plasma Cutters, and Saw Operators with part removal and staging.Finishing Work: Use hand tools (grinders, chippers, and wire brushes) to remove dross, slag, and burrs from processed parts to meet quality standards.Organization: Palletize, label, and kit finished parts for shipping or further secondary processing.Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, disposing of scrap metal, and organizing tooling.Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols, including the consistent use of PPE.Required Skills & QualificationsPhysical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift/move up to 50 lbs. regularly.Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and consistent attendance.Aptitude: Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.Safety Conscious: A "safety-first" mindset in a high-traffic industrial environment.Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from shift leads and operators.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience in a warehouse, machine shop, or construction setting.Previous certification or experience operating a forklift or overhead crane.Experience using power tools (angle grinders, etc.).Work EnvironmentConditions: This is a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Expect exposure to heat, dust, and loud noise.Equipment: You will be working around heavy machinery, lasers, plasma tables, and moving industrial vehicles.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $15.00 - $16.00
