This role will serve as the company’s focal point for identifying, qualifying, and pursuing opportunities within the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) ecosystem, including commercial space and civil space initiatives, while supporting the company’s broader growth strategy in partnership with the Vice President of Growth. The ideal candidate will help expand the company’s presence across the LEO market by developing strategic relationships, shaping opportunity pipelines, and positioning the organization for long-term success within the emerging space economy.The Business Growth Portfolio Manager will work cross-functionally with services, program management, corporate functions, and executive leadership to drive pipeline development, strategic partnerships, and successful captures aligned with company growth objectives.This is a high-impact role for an individual who understands the LEO landscape, can build trusted customer relationships, and thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment.The Business Growth Portfolio Manager willBusiness Development & CaptureMaintain awareness of market dynamics, competitor activity, and procurement pipelinesAdvise leadership on strategic investments, partnerships, and positioning opportunitiesBuild and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities within the LEO domainLead capture activities for strategic pursuits from qualification through proposal submissionDevelop win strategies, teaming approaches, and customer engagement plansSupport bid/no-bid decisions with clear assessments of win probability, strategic fit, and resource requirementsCoordinate closely with proposal and technical teams to ensure compelling and compliant submissionsContribute to long-range growth planning and annual revenue forecastingCustomer & Partner EngagementEstablish and maintain relationships with government agencies, commercial customers, primes, and industry partnersRepresent the company at conferences, industry forums, and customer engagementsIdentify and develop strategic partnerships that expand market access and technical capabilitiesRequired Education/Experience/SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Aerospace, or related field, plus seven (7) years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or growth strategy within the aerospace or defense industryDemonstrated experience supporting, leading, and winning pursuits in the LEO, space, or government sectorsStrong understanding of the commercial space and/or government acquisition environmentProven ability to develop customer relationships and strategic partnershipsExperience managing complex pursuits and coordinating cross-functional teamsExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to operate effectively in a lean and entrepreneurial environmentStrategic thinker with strong execution disciplinePreferencesExisting relationships within NASA, DoW, SDA, Space Force, commercial space operators, or international space organizationsFamiliarity with FAR/DFARS contracting environmentsEssential RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Work may involve sitting for extended periods.May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.Don’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!Barrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
