Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer Jr. to support enterprise cloud architecture design, development, and integration efforts within secure federal environments. This role involves working across multi-cloud platforms to build scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.The selected candidate will contribute to cloud architecture, DevOps/DevSecOps implementation, and system integration, while supporting modernization initiatives and maintaining high availability and performance across distributed systems.Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens ONLY due to legal or government contract requirements.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and integrate cloud architectures and solutions across enterprise environmentsSupport the implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native applicationsLead requirements analysis, system design, and architecture development for complex cloud and hybrid systemsDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormationBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployment and integrationArchitect and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologiesImplement cloud security best practices, including IAM, monitoring, logging, and compliance controlsPerform system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting across cloud environmentsOptimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and availabilityConduct technical evaluations and trade-off analyses for architecture decisionsSupport cloud modernization and migration initiatives from legacy systemsTroubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolutionDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partnersProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and design reviews for engineering teamsEnsure adherence to cybersecurity standards, policies, and federal compliance requirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field(Master's: 6+ years | PhD considered in lieu of experience)Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud architectureActive or Interim Secret Clearance (ability to maintain required)CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT Level II Certification)Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)Experience implementing DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesProficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.)Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud securityExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting DoD or USAF cloud environments (e.g., Cloud One, Platform One)Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principlesExperience with monitoring/logging tools (Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)Familiarity with Identity and Access Management solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, IAM)Experience with OpenShift or advanced Kubernetes platformsExperience working with external vendors and partners on cloud solutionsCertifications:Required:IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)Preferred:IAT Level III Certification (for security-focused responsibilities)One or more cloud certifications, such as:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalAWS Certified Solutions Architect – AssociateAWS Certified DevOps EngineerAWS Certified DeveloperAWS Certified SysOps Administrator (SysAdmin)AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerAWS Certified Advanced NetworkingAWS Certified Security – SpecialtyMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: Azure Developer AssociateMCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert – Server)
