You will report to the Manager of Loss of Coolant Analysis. This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Loss of Coolant Analysis (LOCA) Engineer you will perform design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for Loss of Coolant AccidentsDevelopment and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena·Use statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents·Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting·Act as point of contact for plant-specific LOCA specific inquiries from both internal and external customers·Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysisQualificationsBachelor's Degree in one of the following engineering disciplines required: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Nuclear EngineeringWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
