This role will be critical in building a world class accounting organization to support our growth. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities.Responsibilities:Assist with the monthly close process for Lyft insurance and investments (including but not limited to monthly investment activity, prepaid amortization and accruals)Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelinesAssist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing supportAssist team in coordination with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processes Assist in documentation/implementation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibilityProactively identify process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvementsPerform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requestedExperience:BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA license preferred2+ years of accounting experience Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong accounting research and problem-solving skillsExperience in Microsoft with a strong emphasis on Excel is a must; Oracle Cloud/ERP experience is preferredA proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environmentInsurance and Investments experience is a plus but not requiredAbility to operate independently and as part of a larger functional teamBenefits:Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolledMental health benefitsFamily building benefitsChild care and pet benefits401(k) plan with company match to help save for your futureIn addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off18 weeks of paid parental leave. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #HybridThe expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $72,000 - $90,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
