RN Labor and Delivery - Dover - Nights

The Labor and Delivery nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D Setting. The Labor and Delivery nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The labor and delivery nurse works with Mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother's vital signs, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possible complications. The labor and delivery nurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs of Mothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.
