Classified - Human Resources GeneralistJune 2026 - Papillion La Vista Community Schools Central OfficeGeneral Description: The Human Resources Generalist partners with the HR team to provide comprehensive support across a wide range of functions. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in technology platforms such as Google applications and HR systems related to recruiting, records, and onboarding. The Generalist serves as a key point of contact for staff and the public, delivering responsive service and high-level administrative support to Human Resources leadership. The ability to demonstrate and maintain employee and applicant confidentiality is non-negotiable.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience with FMLA or Human ResourcesDegree in Human Resources or related area preferredExcellent communication, technology, and clerical skills. Year round, 260 day employee100% paid Family Health/Dental (PPO or HDHP)Vision and Life Insurance option plansNebraska Public Employee Retirement System Employee Assistance ProgramsVacation, Sick and Personal Leave Designated paid holidaysResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of FMLA administration, including meeting with staff to review eligibility and requirements, preparing and processing necessary documentation, tracking leave status, and providing clear, timely communication throughout the process. Collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure compliance and consistency. Support of Student Teacher onboarding, including all required onboard paperwork. Monitor and track all Substitute Teacher applications for completion of application process and complete all onboarding processes. Process and track all Long-term substitutes, including badge, technology and payroll requirements. Assists with the onboarding process with copies, data entry, scheduling OT appointments, access cards, background checks, etc. Communicates with Human Resources and Building Administrators when new staff are cleared to begin positions. Conducts reference checks and manages Spark Hire video interviews. Collaborates with HR team on various projects. Provides backup for Central Office front desk. Other duties as assigned.
