Sales Category Analyst

Lasko Products, a market leader in home comfort products for over 100 years, is looking to add a Sales Category Analyst to our West Chester, PA corporate headquarters.The Sales Category Analyst will support our growing Sales organization. This role will be a key analytical partner to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance - driving actionable insights that strengthen category performance, improve retailer partnerships, and unlock growth opportunities.Position SummaryThe Sales Category Analyst is responsible for analyzing syndicated data, retailer POS trends, internal sales performance, and competitive activity to provide actionable category insights. This individual will help translate complex data into clear recommendations that influence assortment, pricing, promotions, shelf placement, and go-to-market strategies.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys storytelling with data, and wants exposure to cross-functional decision making within a dynamic consumer products organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCategory & Market AnalysisAnalyze syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Circana, etc.) to identify category trends, market share movement, and competitive dynamicsMonitor POS data and shipment trends to assess retailer performance and identify growth opportunitiesDevelop retailer-specific category insights to support joint business planning conversationsTrack promotional effectiveness and recommend optimization strategiesSales Support & Retailer InsightsSupport the Sales team with pre-line review analysis, assortment recommendations, and performance recapsBuild category scorecards and executive dashboardsAssist in preparation of customer presentations with data-backed insightsPartner with Key Account Managers to identify whitespace opportunities and distribution gapsForecasting & Performance ReportingDevelop and maintain sales performance dashboards (weekly, monthly, seasonal)Analyze variance to forecast, prior year, and budgetSupport demand planning discussions by providing insights into sell-through trendsAssist in post-season analysis for heaters, fans, and air purifier categoriesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Marketing on product launches, pricing strategy, and promotional planningCollaborate with Supply Chain and SIOP teams to align demand signals with inventory strategySupport Finance with revenue forecasting and margin analysisQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or related field2-5 years of experience in category management, sales analytics, business intelligence, or CPG analyticsExperience working with syndicated data (Circana/IRI/Nielsen)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to synthesize large data sets into executive-level insightsStrong communication and presentation skillsPreferredExperience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or durable goodsFamiliarity with retailer portals (Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online, etc.)Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization toolsUnderstanding of seasonal product categoriesAbout Lasko ProductsBetter Air Starts Here.Lasko Products is the leading air solutions brand with a reputation for reliable products, peak performance, and perpetual innovation - our commitment to our customers for over a century.
