We’re currently seeking aSchool Social Workerfor anExtended School Year (ESY) , school-based assignment inLake County, IL .This role is well-suited for a professional who enjoys short-term, focused support, values collaboration, and is passionate about supporting students’ social-emotional needs in a school setting.Position Details: Location:Lake County, IL (in-person only) Dates:June 15 – July 26 Schedule:Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (No Fridays) Grade Range:EC–12Responsibilities: Provide school-based social work services aligned with students’ IEPs and social-emotional goals. Support students’ behavioral, emotional, and social development in an ESY setting. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success. Deliver individual and group support as appropriate based on student needs. Participate in team meetings, documentation, and required ESY program activities.Qualifications: ActiveIllinois Professional Educator License (PEL)withSchool Social Worker (SSW)endorsement. Prior school-based or youth-focused social work experience preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
