Controller – Long/Short Hedge Fund (Florida)(Long/Short buy-side hedge fund or hedge fund CFO outsourcing firm experience required)ConnectMe Capital, LLC has partnered with a fast-growing long/short hedge fund (<25 employees; approximately $1B AUM) seeking a Hedge Fund Controller to join the team in Florida.This is a rare opportunity to work directly with a high-caliber, collaborative, and highly approachable CFO/COO, gaining broad exposure across fund operations, accounting, and strategic initiatives. Excellent compensation package including strong base salary and substantial bonus.Seeking a technically strong hedge fund accounting professional with:• 8–10+ years of long/short hedge fund accounting experience at either a buy-side investment firm or hedge fund CFO outsourcing platform required (fund administrator and public accounting experience may count toward total years of experience, but candidates must also have direct buy-side or outsourced CFO experience)• Strong knowledge of swaps tax treatment, boxed positions, constructive sale rules, and trading/hedging tax implications• CPA required (CFA may be considered in lieu of CPA)• Advanced Excel skills, including investor allocations and performance calculations• Enfusion experience preferredResponsibilities include:• Reviewing monthly NAV packages from fund administrators• Prime broker trade reconciliations• Investor allocations• Management company accounting• Vendor management• Operational support and special projects• Marketing/investor analytics supportThis is a hands-on role within a lean, entrepreneurial environment, so the ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating in a fast-paced setting.The CFO is highly collaborative and willing to mentor someone with strong fundamentals who wants broader exposure and a path toward future CFO-level responsibility.Florida-based role.
