Audit Manager- CPA FirmCPA Firm Job DescriptionCPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with 6 to 8 years of experience in public accounting. This individual reports directly to the firm's Managing Partner. This is a leadership role that is responsible for supervising, directing audit teams, and reviewing the audit results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of an audit engagement. Responsibility includes presentation of audit reports and findings to client's governing body. Provide training to audit staff training sessions & on-the-job training. The individual we are seeking should be dedicated to the future of the firm and take a leadership role in growing the audit practice. This position requires a person that will be a long term value to the firm. Travel: Overnight travel is minimal. Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possess proven solid verbal and written communication skills Possess executive presence need to be able to be primary contact for the client, prepare and present presentations to clients and potential clients. Possess solid decision-making skills. Able to research and resolve complex accounting issues. Able to be responsible for business development and marketing. Able to be responsible for engagement profitability including budgets, billings and collections. QualificationsRequirements: CPA designation required. Permits to practice in Missouri and Kansas (or qualified to obtain) At least 6 years public accounting experience Working knowledge of Professional Standards Sound GAAP and GAAS knowledge Familiarity with GASB reporting Single Audit experience Previous experience with audits of not-for-profit and governmental entities a plus.
