This individual will play a key role in driving supply chain efficiency, improving fulfillment operations, and supporting overall business performance.Job Description:The Planning & Logistics Manager will oversee end-to-end order flow and distribution operations, ensuring products move efficiently from initial order through delivery. This role focuses on enhancing processes, leveraging systems and automation, and strengthening partnerships across internal teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and operational improvement.Key Responsibilities:Guide and develop a team by promoting accountability, continuous growth, and alignment with company goalsWork closely with cross-functional teams to improve service levels and streamline executionRefine order processing workflows, including entry, allocation, and billing, with an emphasis on automation and exception managementStrengthen customer experience by improving visibility and responsiveness within order management processesOversee third-party warehouse providers, ensuring accurate inventory tracking through audits and reconciliationsManage inventory planning efforts, including transfers, consolidation strategies, and stock optimizationTrack and evaluate performance metrics such as on-time delivery, service levels, and cost efficiency, implementing improvements where neededIdentify and resolve issues related to deductions or penalties, driving long-term corrective actionsDeliver insights and reporting to leadership to support data-driven decision-makingLead key supply chain initiatives, including system enhancements and warehouse or process implementationsPartner with internal stakeholders to improve ERP and EDI system functionality and data integrityEnsure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and compliance effortsMaintain relationships with logistics partners and carriers, including contract and rate managementQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution within a manufacturing environmentExperience working with third-party logistics providers and warehouse operationsStrong understanding of order management, inventory control, and process improvementFamiliarity with ERP systems and EDI integrationsDemonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsBackground in food, beverage, or consumer goods industries preferredKnowledge of quality and safety standards (such as SQF) is a plusExperience leading system implementations or large-scale operational projectsPerks:Competitive compensation with bonus potentialComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on impactful supply chain initiativesExposure to cross-functional leadership and strategic projectsAdditional Details: This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to influence operations, improve efficiencies, and contribute to long-term business success within a dynamic environment.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
