Senior EDI Integration Developer

DPP is seeking a Senior EDI Integration Developer for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry in South Carolina.Work location: Remote; subject to change at a later date.Hours : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMDuration : 6 monthsTerm : W2 position – contractResidency : Candidates who are foreign nationals must have resided in the US for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years prior to assignment to the client's applicable government contract.Position summary:This Developer will support the existing EDI front-end and translator systems using X.12 / 5010 EDI standards. They will assist with implementing the new EDI front-end and translator.Additional duties include researching and resolving customer issues related to file submissions and report retrieval, as well as troubleshooting problems within multi-tier system environments using the technologies listed above.About the team:The Medicare EDI team consists of 20+ experienced members responsible for moving files in and out of midrange and host systems. Current team members have a minimum of 12 years of EDI experience, with some having over 30 years.The group includes application support technicians as well as midrange and mainframe programmers. This is a highly skilled, collaborative environment with deep EDI expertise.Required technologies:Unix command-line and shell scriptingTroubleshooting and analyzing multi-tier distributed systems/applicationsC/C++ or Python (one role requires one; the second role: "nice to have")SQL / Database integration (Oracle or open source)Nice to have:C/C++ or Python (whichever is not required for their primary role)AI / Automated testingAPI and authentication / LDAPAWS or cloud technologiesAdditional skills:High adaptability in managing shifting prioritiesStrong communication skills with both internal team members and managementAbility to work professionally with customers on highly sensitive issuesAbility to work effectively with limited supervisionAbility to use Microsoft Teams as the primary communication toolMinimum required work experience:6 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.Required education/equivalencies:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 10 years without a degree)Interested?
