A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM • Scheduled day off based on department needs with special requests considered when possible • Scheduled late a few times per month (5-8 days/month, used 3-4 times monthly) • No on-call requirements • Possibility of floating within perioperative facility • Block schedule available per manager's discretion • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Required certifications: South Carolina or Compact License, BLS • Radiation badge must be provided by parent company • Experience required in: Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints, and ENT • First-time travelers not accepted • Local candidates accepted within 60-mile radius • Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Responsible for prepping patients prior to surgery including reviewing history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs and EKGs, starting IVs, hanging IV fluids/antibiotics • Recovery of post-anesthesia patients including monitoring vital signs through phases of care and discharge instructions • Work with variety of patients in Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and GI procedures • Epic charting system experience preferred • Patient ratio of 1:1 • Complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start Facility: This healthcare facility operates as an ambulatory surgery center specializing in orthopedic procedures. The unit features 20 bays for pre/post patients, 2 operating rooms, 2 GI procedural rooms, and 1 VIR procedural room.
