Technical Checker

GENERAL FUNCTION: Accountable for technically accurate drawings on assigned projects utilizing drafting techniques. Review routine to complex layouts, charts, graphs, maps, engineered designs, 3D models, drawings and/or diagrams form departmental technical specifications and instructions. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.Responsible for sketches, schematics, preliminary lay outs, etc. for compliance with the specifications, regulatory requirements, and standard practices. Responsible for compliance with drawing procedures of drawings and assigned deliverables. Responsible for verifying vendor information and technical data as required. Coordinates with other sections when appropriate Ensures CAD standards are followed Designs to standards and common material where possible Ensures work meets requirements of applicable Regulatory Body and job specifications Implements standard practices and procedures (i.e. PRN's, ECP's, EAR's, Budget Requests, drawing check out, etc.) Coordinates and reviews required vendor information Coordinates with other personnel as appropriate Incorporates and documents owner, regulatory body, and other governing bodies' comments. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to work in a team environment Good knowledge of design principles and drafting techniques. Some knowledge of manufacturing processes. Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and practices. Ability to work with drafting materials and equipment. 3D Modeling capabilities desired. AutoCAD proficiency and C5ISR experience are key experience factors.
