Import Entry Coordinator | Customs OperationsMount Prospect, IL | Full-Time | Onsite | $28–$30/hour + Full BenefitsA growing international logistics and customs brokerage team is seeking an experienced Import Entry Coordinator to support daily import operations and customs clearance activities. This position is heavily focused on entry processing, FDA/PGA coordination, shipment releases, and maintaining compliance throughout the import process.Responsibilities • Review shipping and import documents for accuracy and completeness • Enter shipment and customs data into the brokerage system • Analyze commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading • Assign or verify HTS/product classifications as needed • Process FDA/PGA requirements and monitor release activity • Follow up on Customs exams, FDA holds, and missing documentation • Communicate shipment status updates directly with clients and carriers • Issue release and hold instructions when required • Resolve documentation discrepancies and clearance issues quickly • Ensure files are finalized and transferred after release completionQualifications • Minimum 3 years of customs entry writing or brokerage operations experience • Strong understanding of import regulations, HTS codes, Customs clearance, and FDA/PGA processes • Experience with QuestaWeb preferred • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and urgency • Comfortable managing high-volume import activity • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skillsNote: This is a full-time onsite opportunity.
