Ryerson offers a dynamic, quality-focused, environment, ideal for advancing your career and making your mark in the metals industry.As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules and supporting the logistics of outbound shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.Roles And ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily transportation schedules to optimize fleet utilization (lbs/trip, stops/trip, and route efficiency)Dispatch drivers and communicate delivery expectations, route changes, and customer requirementsTrack shipments and provide updates on delivery status to internal teams and customersMaintain and update transportation data within Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)Assist with KPI tracking and reporting on transportation performance and expensesSupport resolution of delivery issues, delays, and service concerns with customers and suppliersCoordinate efficient truck loading and unloading to align with operational standardsEnsure accurate and complete documentation for all transportation and logistics activitiesUtilize SAP tools to help improve on-time delivery (OTD) performanceAll other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without noticeRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent1 plus year of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experienceBasic knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulationsProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentSalary: $28.89-$30.92 per hour.
