Join us in our journey to build energy systems that empower communities and businesses alike.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager based in Lexington, KY or Columbus, OH to lead and standardize safety practices across all projects nationwide. This role is responsible for driving compliance, strengthening safety culture, and ensuring consistent execution of OSHA-aligned programs across multiple job sites. The Safety Manager will serve as the primary safety leader, partnering with field and project leadership while overseeing safety consultants and supporting continued company growth. The role requires travel (up to 50%) as project needs require. This position has a clear path to advancement into a Safety Director role based on performance, leadership, and organizational impact. Vader Safety Managers are driven, detail-oriented professionals who are committed to protecting people and strengthening jobsite performance. They work collaboratively with all levels of the team to (1) develop, implement, and improve safety programs and procedures and (2) provide project-specific risk mitigation strategies. They take a proactive approach to planning, identifying hazards ahead of time, and ensuring safe, efficient execution in the field.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, who is forward-thinking and takes pride in promoting a culture of safety, maintaining compliance, building strong relationships, and mentoring teams to uphold the highest safety standards.Location: Lexington, KY, Columbus, OH, or Bellwood, IL (Relocation Required)Travel: Up to 50%Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesMaintain and annually update the company Safety Manual to ensure compliance with current OSHA regulationsReview, revise, and standardize all safety forms and documentation annually to align with OSHA and company standardsEnsure consistent implementation of safety policies across all projectsProvide oversight and direction to all third-party safety consultants across jobsitesConduct periodic job-site audits, inspections, and safety evaluationsSupport project teams in hazard identification, risk mitigation, and incident preventionAssist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planningEnsure proper documentation of inspections, training, and incidentsAct as the primary safety leader across all projects and regionsPartner with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to reinforce a strong safety cultureMentor field staff and safety personnelSupport or deliver safety training programs (OSHA, company-specific policies, MEWP-3A & 3B, NFPA 70E, etc.)Ensure all employees and subcontractors meet training requirementsOversee documentation of training certificatesCommunicate safety expectations, updates, and best practices across the companyAssist in building and enhancing safety processes as the company growsTeach and learnContinuing educationMinimum Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in safety management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferredMinimum 5 years of safety management experience in constructionOSHA 510 certificationStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standardsProven experience managing or overseeing multiple jobsites or regionsSkillsStrong leadership and accountability mindsetExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to influence field operations and drive complianceOrganized, self-motivated, and capable of working independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systemsEnvironment & ExpectationsFrequent travel to active construction sites (up to 50%)Combination of office, field, and remote work environmentsMust be willing to relocate to one of the designated office locationsBenefitsMedical, Dental, Paid Time Off
