Electrical Estimator

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to play a critical role in driving the success of complex construction projects > Commercial, industrial, and institutional work.Ideal Candidate > brings a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies, along with the ability to translate design intent into actionable pricing strategies.Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale electrical construction projectsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to define full scope and identify risk factorsPerform quantity takeoffs for power distribution, lighting systems, low-voltage systems.Develop complete pricing models including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopesSolicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals with project requirementsIdentify Cost Optimization and value engineering without compromising quality or performanceEvaluate project risks and incorporate contingencies and strategic considerations into estimatesPresent bid packages, including participation in internal reviews and client-facing discussionsCollaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients during the preconstruction phaseMaintain and enhance estimating databases, historical cost records, and digital toolsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree5 years in Electrical Estimating, ideally within a contracting environmentExperience preparing estimates for complex or large-scale projectsProficiency industry software (such as Accubid, ConEst… ect )Understanding of labor productivity, unit costs, and material pricing trendsInterpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentsExperience working in design-build or design-assist environmentsFamiliarity with BIM and digital takeoff toolsNegotiation skills and managing subcontractor and vendor relationships
