Head Start Teacher Work site: New London Head Start Start Date: as soon as possible Starting Pay: $14.72-$16.04 per hour, depending on experience Status: Full time, 40 hours during the school year, summer lay off Benefits: Paid time off, holidays, 401K (6% match), life insurance. access to health, dental, vision and disability insurance. Duties: Responsible for the supervision of children, preparing and conducting weekly lesson plans, on-going assessment of children, and maintaining compliance with all related regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Two year Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and one year of experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5; or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and two years of experience that includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
