Senior Finance Manager | PE Backed Platform | ChicagoLocation: Chicago, IL (On site, 5 days per week) Reports to: CFOThe OpportunityOur client is a private equity backed platform company executing an active buy and build strategy across multiple acquisitions. As the business scales, they are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to play a central role in shaping the financial backbone of a rapidly growing organization.This is a high visibility seat with direct exposure to the CFO, executive leadership, and the PE sponsor. The selected candidate will own FP&A while partnering closely on M&A diligence, integration, and value creation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesFP&A Leadership Own the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and long range plan. Build and maintain driver based financial models that support operational and strategic decision making. Deliver monthly board and sponsor reporting packages with clear, insightful variance analysis.M&A and Integration Support financial due diligence on acquisition targets in partnership with the CFO and sponsor. Build acquisition models, synergy cases, and post close integration plans. Lead the financial integration of acquired businesses including chart of accounts mapping, reporting consolidation, and KPI alignment.Business Partnering Work cross functionally with operations, sales, and HR leaders to translate strategy into financial outcomes. Drive pricing analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and capital allocation decisions.Reporting and Analytics Develop and refine KPI dashboards across the platform and acquired businesses. Strengthen forecasting accuracy and cash flow visibility as the company scales.QualificationsA minimum of 5 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within a PE backed company or with meaningful exposure to M&A activity. Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to build models from scratch. Experience consolidating multi entity financials and working through acquisition integrations is a major plus.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with limited infrastructure and ambiguity, moving quickly between strategic analysis and hands on execution. Excellent communication skills are a must, given regular interaction with senior leadership and the PE sponsor.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus. Advanced Excel is required. Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems, along with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, is preferred.
