The firm has built a strong reputation for technical quality, client relationships, and delivering complex projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and growing team while working directly alongside the Director of Fire Protection Engineering on high-impact projects and strategic growth initiatives.About the RoleWe’re looking for a mid to senior-level Fire Protection Engineer who is already a licensed PE and can come in and hit the ground running technically.This is a hands-on engineering role requiring someone who’s comfortable owning projects from a technical standpoint — including design work, reviewing/stamping drawings, and working directly with clients.The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and enjoys balancing project execution with client-facing responsibilities. Relocation to Texas is available for the right person.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute fire protection system design across a range of project types.Prepare, review, and stamp engineering documents and drawings.Perform fire protection calculations, code analysis, and technical reviews.Coordinate directly with clients, architects, contractors, and AHJs.Support project delivery from concept through construction administration.Work closely with the Director of FP Engineering on technical strategy and team growth.Mentor junior engineers and support internal technical development.QualificationsPE License required (Fire Protection PE strongly preferred).Proven experience in fire protection engineering and system design.Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC, IFC, and local code requirements.Ability to independently manage technical deliverables and client interactions.Experience reviewing and stamping engineering work.Strong communication and leadership skills.Open to relocating to Texas if not already local.Why This OpportunityHigh-visibility role with a clear path for growth and influence.Opportunity to work directly with an experienced Director of FP Engineering.Hybrid flexibility in Dallas, Houston, or Austin.Competitive compensation package: $140k–$170k DOE.Strong project pipeline and long-term career potential within a growing business.
