Project Manager/ Bridge Engineer

We’re expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest and are looking for a motivated Project Manager / Bridge Engineer to help lead and deliver bridge design projects from our Portland, Oregon office. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with some of the top bridge design professionals in the industry while playing a key role in the continued growth of B&N’s bridge engineering practice in Oregon.If you’re a confident self-starter who enjoys leading complex projects, mentoring others, and building strong client relationships, this role offers meaningful career advancement alongside the chance to make a lasting impact.What You’ll DoManage the delivery of bridge design projects, ensuring a high-quality, client-focused experience for agencies such as ODOT, as well as cities and counties throughout OregonLead bridge design and production efforts for ODOT and local agency projectsMonitor project performance, including scope, budgets, schedules, and risk managementCollaborate with technical experts and project teams across the firm to solve complex engineering challengesSupport project pursuits and contribute to proposal developmentPlay a role in shaping B&N’s Bridge Services marketing strategy, with a focus on repeat work and client growthCoach and mentor junior staff while collaborating with licensed engineers firmwideSkills And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited programProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity10+ years of related bridge design experienceExperience with proposal development and client relationship management is advantageousProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with MicroStation or equivalent CAD software, and bridge design software, familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler is a plusStrong communication, leadership, and collaboration skillsSelf-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual and collaborative environmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
