Job DescriptionThe Boeing Company's Specialized United States Infrastructure Operations is currently seeking a Cloud Platform Administrator (Mid-Level, Senior or Lead) to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Seattle, WA; or DaytonaBeach, FL.Position ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain cloud platform services supporting Kubernetes, containers, ingress, storage integration, secrets management, and service connectivityBuild and sustain reusable deployment patterns for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Open Source Software (OSS), and internally customized applicationsDevelop and maintain automation for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle supportManage cluster lifecycle activities including:Cluster upgradesNode managementAdd-on managementObservability integrationResilience improvementsCapacity planningSupport Azure Kubernetes Service, OpenShift, Tanzu, or similar shared platform servicesPartner with infrastructure and application teams to onboard services onto the platformTroubleshoot and resolve platform hosting, connectivity, and integration issuesSupport monitoring, logging, alerting, and platform health managementImprove deployment consistency using:Helm-based configurationGit-based workflowsInfrastructure as CodeEstablish and maintain platform documentation, standards, and support proceduresEvaluate and implement platform capabilities that improve scalability and ease of operationsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineersBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or product management3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)3+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)3+ years of experience with Cloud, Containerization and AutomationPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, or related fieldExperience hosting enterprise COTS/OSS applications on KubernetesExperience with Helm charts, operators, and container image lifecycle managementExperience with persistent storage integration and backup / recoveryExperience defining reusable platform standards for multiple teamsCertifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator and/or Azure Solutions ArchitectConflict of InterestSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free WorkplaceBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & BenefitsAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
