Budget Analyst (5174)

SMX is seeking a Budget Data Analyst to support our Federal client's Contingency and International Program and Military Personnel. The Analyst?will join a cross-functional team that supports PPBE Reform Commission Report implementation. Responsibilities include data gathering and consolidation, cross-organization coordination, and strategic communications.Responsibilities:Identify, collect, and consolidate data from various sources to support PPBE analysis. This includes, but is not limited to, financial data, programmatic data, and performance metrics.Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in the PPBE process.Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and other data visualization tools to track suspenses, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to PPBE reform.Create clear, concise, and compelling presentations, charts, and other visual aids for all levels of leadership to communicate the findings of data analysis and the progress of PPBE reform initiatives.Provide technical expertise and support to government staff on data analysis tools and techniques.Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/universitySecret-level security clearanceMinimum 7 years of relevant experienceWilling to work onsite at the Pentagon dailyDemonstrated motivation and initiativeMust be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite to track and manage tasks across a range of stakeholdersDemonstrated proficiency with data visualization software such as Power BI or TableuMust have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periodsMust have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoDMust have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customersExtensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutionsProficient with Microsoft Power AppsExperience with and understanding of the PPBE process and current reform effortsAbility to multi-task across multiple projectsDoW- or service staff-level experienceApplication Deadline: 4/30/2026LI SA-1At SMX, we are a team of technical and domain experts dedicated to enabling your mission.
