This role works closely with operations, dispatch, and accounting to ensure all freight charges are billed correctly, documentation is complete, and discrepancies are resolved efficiently.What You’ll Be DoingPrepare, review, and process customer invoices for transportation servicesVerify billing accuracy using load details, rate confirmations, contracts, and delivery documentationEnsure invoices are submitted timely and in accordance with customer requirementsResolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and customer inquiriesMaintain organized and accurate billing records and supporting documentationWork closely with dispatch, operations, and accounting teams to resolve issuesAssist with month-end billing close and reporting as neededEnsure compliance with company policies and customer agreementsPerform other duties as assigned; teamwork is essential to getting the job doneWhat You Need to SucceedEducation: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferredExperience:Billing, accounting, or transportation/logistics experience preferredSkills & Abilities:Strong attention to detail and accuracyProficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience with transportation management or accounting software is a plusWork Environment & ScheduleEnvironment: Office-based position; this role is not remote and reports onsite full timeLocation: Newfield, NJSchedule: Standard business hours, Monday–Friday (may vary based on operational needs)BenefitsMedical and Dental InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) with company matchTeam member recognition awardsEducation and development opportunitiesReporting StructureReports to: Transportation Operations ManagerDirect Reports: NoneRLS Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)Powered by JazzHRiFbzDtac9K
