Currently, Universal is seeking Logistics Analyst candidates for our position based out of our corporate office in Warren, MI.The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and/or experience in the following areas:Route DesignRoute ManagementExperience working with large, complex data setsCreating, updating and managing databases and processesCapability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectivelyAbility to work independently and as member of a teamShipping and/or packaging knowledgeMust have solid communication and analytical skills – daily interaction with cross-dock, suppliers, carriers and customer personnelScorecard generation/maintenance/tracking (IB/OB trailer utilization, planned vs. actual route mileage, packaging discrepancies, proposed cost savings)Daily/weekly/monthly reporting for cross-docks, carriers, management and customersCapable to complete special projects as assignedCommitted to meet deadlinesBilingual (English and Spanish) - preferred but not requiredThe ideal candidate will possess experience with the following computer programs:Microsoft Office (especially Excel and/or Access)Routing SoftwareOther requirements include:Bachelor's Degree or Associate's DegreeHighly organized with a strong attention to detailGood oral and written communication skillsStrong data analysis and information processing skillsEager to learnCapable of making quick decisionsGood work ethicsInnovative and motivated toward continuous improvementAbility to think outside the box
