Assistant Project Manager
Overview
In this role you will help drive site safety, cost control and schedule adherence on assigned projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, vendors and field teams to deliver quality work on time and within budget, while upholding Webcor’s standards. You’ll support project buyout, contract and budget negotiations, and maintain rigorous document control and QA/QC processes. This position offers exposure to cross‑functional leadership, risk management and strategic project outcomes in a dynamic construction environment.
ResponsibilitiesEnforce and implement safety policies on the job siteManage and publish the project schedule and track milestonesAssist with buyout analysis, scheduling and contingency managementAssist in negotiating subcontracts, PO agreements, and cost control budgetsOversee document control for RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits and drawingsSupport cost reporting and communicate risk and projections to senior managementAssist in budget control and negotiating best pricingMaintain a delay log and update the master schedule with delaysDevelop and implement a QA/QC program and oversee the Punch List process
Key requirementsBachelor in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum four years of construction/engineering experience, including three years as a Project EngineerOSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)Experience with cost control, budgeting, forecasting and billingStrong leadership and communication abilitiesFamiliarity with prime contracts and various contract typesleadershipcommunicationproblem-solvingcost control, budgeting and forecastingMS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint)Adobe and Visio
