ALPLA values their employees, work-life balance, personal growth, compensation and sustainability.What Can You Expect From ALPLAHealth and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care BenefitsDependent Care Cost Savings ProgramRecognition programs; Promotional opportunities401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching PlanMedical, dental, vision planEducation assistance program/tuition reimbursementShort-term, long-term, and life insurance paid by ALPLAPaid vacation; paid holidaysWhat You Will Enjoy DoingMain Responsibilities:Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipmentEquipment may include, but is not limited to:Carton ErectorsPartition insertersProduct inserts/tumble packaging systemsCase and top closing equipmentPalletizing and stretch wrapping equipmentScrap separation by material type and waste bookRework and grinding activities per material handlingand quality standardsManual responsibilities include:Loading, building, and assembling cartonsHand packaging of bottlesLoading labels and packaging materialsMaintenance includes:Perform routine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance of equipmentComplete scheduled weekly equipment cleaningPerform autonomous maintenance tasks per standard proceduresMaterial HandlingLoading/Unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers, labels, and other raw materialsSafely moving materials to and from designated storage locationsDocumentationAccurately document record of finished goods, packaging specifications, and visual quality checksPerform changeovers of various packaging equipment (e.g., case erector, partition inserter, top sealer)Apply correct labels and verify packaging configurationsPerform visual quality inspections of bottles, labels, and packaging integrityPerform proper line clearance between production runsHousekeeping of assigned work areaWhat Makes You GreatPerformance Measurements: Labeling Accuracy: Maintains a labeling accuracy rate of 100% by consistently following all labeling procedures without deviation Quality Control Compliance: Performs all required quality checks with 100% completion and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects per standard operating procedures.Line clearance accuracyAutonomous maintenance completionEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMin. 6 months of manufacturing experience preferredAdditional Requirements:Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneouslyHigh cleanliness standards for the machines and work area Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
