In this role, you will oversee floor operations, coordinate tasks, follow and enforce all policies and procedures. From day one, we provide benefits, PTO accrual, and a 401(k), along with hands-on training to help you strengthen and expand the skills you already have.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:Coordinate the activities of co-workers in order to meet production needsHas the responsibility and authority to report any problems pertaining to Safety, Food Safety and Quality to his/her supervisor.Prepare run sequencesAssign employees by line and taskCoordinate relief for breaks, lunch, and shift switchoverCommunication with shift supervisors regarding daily eventsPerform all of the department job functions, as necessary Able to work around equipment and machineryRequires extensive problem-solving skillsMust be capable of performing and verify PMO's quality checks.Plan and execute product changeoversCompletes Data Entry for changeovers and rework areaScanning MP bins to line with scanner in Scale Mezzanine and reworkPaperwork DutiesManage Scale Mezzanine, Rework and Box RoomEmployee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP's related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilitiesSupport special projects and other duties as assignedJOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:·Should be able to read and work in a fast-paced production environment.·Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.Previous leadership experience is preferredAbility to work overtime including weekends as requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work in cold temperatures (32-35 degrees)Willing to follow PPE protocol (hairnet, hardhat, gloves, smock/ safety vest) jewelry (earrings, necklaces, rings, watches) are not permitted on production floorsMust be able to stand, walk, climb and work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, to work in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor).WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:5-day / 10-hour work scheduleSaturdays may be scheduled as a 12-hour shift based on production needsSHIFT DETAILS:2nd Shift- $21.29/hour. 4:15 PM – until production is finishedEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:High School Diploma required.
