Job Description PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITIONThe Maintenance Tech is responsible to perform a full range of maintenance, repair and service activities on heavy and light equipment as well as repair work around the site.This position is considered "Safety Sensitive" for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act and the Arizona Drug Testing statutes. This position is currently dayshift (4 x 10) with weekends off.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.Must have excellent understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics.Able to adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools.Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on surface equipment: forklifts, water truck, loaders, haul trucks, excavator, grader, as well as light vehicles.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEMust be able to comprehend, comply with, promote and support safety policies and proceduresA minimum of 5 years' work experience in heavy equipment repair (open pit mining)Mechanical ability and an interest in all types of machinery and engines, electronics and precision equipmentPossession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record is requiredThe ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technologyMust have the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in cramped or awkward positions; lift objects up to 75 lbs.Must have working knowledge of all tools and equipment necessary to work in the Maintenance DepartmentBENEFITS & COMPENSATIONSalary $60,000 - $80,00 depending on Experience and Skill SetBonuses based on Company PerformanceMedical InsuranceLife InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceRetirement PlanPaid Time off4-Day Work Week with 3-Day Weekends each week
