City : Council Bluffs State : Iowa (US-IA) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 43812A Day in the Life:The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for maintaining plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair.Position Details:Monday through Friday day shiftPay: $34.67 an hourWhat You'll Be Doing:Maintain all automation throughout the facility (electric circuits of 480VAC or less)Troubleshoot and repair high voltage lighting, variable frequency drive (VFD) and alternating current / direct current (AC/DC) systemsTroubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Bradley) systems like SLC 500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, PLC 5s, 5000 Logix Controllers and Panel ViewsCheck output on DC controllers and replace printed circuit boards when neededTroubleshoot, locate, test, identify, or diagnose electrical malfunction and then adjust, repair, or replaceFollow, interpret, and read blueprints or schematicsCalibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentationAssigning IP addresses to new equipmentInspect for conformity to industry standards or specificationsRebuild, repair, and replace damaged, defective, or worn partsMaintain a clean and orderly work area and remove material and equipment from job siteTroubleshoot and repair AC motor starter circuitsMinimum Qualifications:Associates degree in electronics or 3-5 years of equivalent experience is requiredAbility to read and understand ladder logicExperience with networking systems such as Control Net, Ethernet, and Data HighwayFamiliarity with mass flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, burner control systems and other like equipment found in an automated plantGood written and verbal communications skillsPreferred Qualification:3-5 years of experience or schooling troubleshooting and repairing PLC'sProgramming experiencePrevious work in a soybean crush facilityExperience with SAP maintenance softwareBenefits:Health Benefits - Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan - Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support - Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement - after one year of service, eligible for tuition expenses reimbursement of up to $5000 per year.Vacation time- We value work-life balance and offer a generous vacation program.
