Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Sugarland, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individual and corporate clients. If you have a strong background in tax preparation and are proficient with industry-standard software, this opportunity is ideal for you.Responsibilities:- Prepare and file individual tax returns (Form 1040) and corporate tax returns (Form 1120 and 1120-S) with accuracy and compliance.- Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations to ensure all filings meet current requirements.- Utilize tax preparation software, such as UltraTax, to streamline processes and ensure precision.- Manage multiple client accounts during peak tax seasons while maintaining high attention to detail.- Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents to identify deductions, credits, and other tax-saving opportunities.- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.- Ensure timely submission of all tax filings to meet deadlines and avoid penalties.- Provide guidance and support to clients regarding tax-related inquiries and planning strategies.- Maintain organized records of tax filings and client communications for future reference and audits. Requirements- Must have degree (accounting/finance) minimum of 3 years of experience preparing individual and corporate tax returns.- Proficiency in tax preparation software, such as UltraTax or similar platforms.- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.- Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax scenarios for both individuals and businesses.- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines during busy periods.- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and address their tax-related concerns.- Proven ability to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with all regulations.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
